MAINTENANCE Winch Operation (If Equipped)
This information is for Sportsman models equipped with winch in the frontThe mini-rocker (INOUT) control controls the direction of the cable for the winchIN pulls the cable into the winch and OUT feeds the cable out of the winch
Winch Control The winch control located on the side of the winch gives the operator easy access to switch between ENGAGED and FREESPOOLWhen the winch is ENGAGED, the winch only allows the cable to be pulled IN or released OUT via the mini-rocker switch on the handlebarWhen the winch is FREESPOOL, the winch allows the cable to be pulled out freelyNOTE: The switch on the handlebar does not have to be in the OUT positionLFREESPOOL
