ELECTRICAL 6Install clear battery vent tube from vehicle to battery vent
WARNING
Vent tube must be free from obstructions and kinks and securely installedIf not, battery gases could accumulate and cause an explosionVent should be routed away from frame and body to prevent contact with electrolyteAvoid skin contact with electrolyte, as severe burns could resultIf electrolyte contacts the vehicle frame, corrosion will occur7Route cables so they are tucked away in front and behind battery
Low Maintenance batteries are permanently sealed at the time of manufactureThe use of lead-calcium and AGM technology instead of lead-antimony allows the battery acid to be fully absorbedFor this reason, Low Maintenance battery case is dark and the cell caps are not removable, since there is no need to check electrolyte levelNEVER attempt to add electrolyte or water to Low Maintenance batteryDoing so will damage the case and shorten the life of the batteryNOTE: New Batteries: Batteries must be fully charged before use or battery life will be reduced by 10-30 of full potentialCharge battery for 3-5 hours at current equivalent of 110 of the battery's rated amphour capacityDo not use the alternator to charge new batteryNEVER attempt to add electrolyte or water to Low Maintenance batteryDoing so will damage the case and shorten the life of the batteryTO SERVICE LOW MAINTENANCE BATTERY:
