Inspect bushing for wear
NOTE: The ramp buttons are secured by TorxTM screws (T20)Use heat to loosen screw locking agent prior to removal7Remove moveable sheave and note the number of spacer washersOne spacer must remain between the sheaves when adjusting belt deflectionBelt deflection adjustment washers
Moveable Sheave Bushing Inspection: Replace the bushing if more brass than TeflonTM is visible on the bushingRefer to bushing replacement in this chapter9Inspect driven clutch faces for wear or damage10Clean and inspect splines on helix and transmission input shaft11Lube splines with light film of greaseDo not lubricate the bushings!
