ELECTRICAL LOW MAINTENANCE BATTERY
General Battery Information
NOTE: All Low Maintenance batteries are fully charged and tested at the factory before installationExpected shelf life varies upon storage conditionsAs general rule before placing the battery into service, check the battery condition and charge accordingly1Check the date label on the side of the battery to calculate when to check voltageThe battery should be checked every monthsCheck the voltage with voltmeter or multimeterA fully charged battery should be 12.8 or higherIf the voltage is below 12.8 V, the battery will need to be rechargedTo service Low Maintenance battery: 12Remove battery from the vehicleTest battery with voltage meter or load tester to determine battery conditionThis will determine the length of time required to charge the battery to full capacityRefer to capacity tableCharge battery using variable rate chargerBattery Removal
