Disc Inspection
12Visually inspect disc for scoring, scratches, or gougesReplace the disc if any deep scratches are evidentUse 0-1" micrometer and measure the disc thickness at eight different points around the pad contact surfaceReplace disc if worn beyond service limitMeasure Thickness Cotter Pin Washers 3Remove the hub assembly from the vehicle and remove the (4) bolts retaining the disc to the hub(4) Bolts
Nut Front View Side View 45Clean the wheel hub mating surface and install new disc on wheel hubInstall new bolts and torque to 28 ftlbs(38 Nm)28 ftlbs(38 Nm)
Brake Disc Thickness New .188" (4.76 mm) Service Limit .170" (4.32 mm) Brake Disc Thickness Variance Service Limit .002" (.051 mm) difference between measurements
