FINAL DRIVE NOTE: Due to extremely close tolerances and minimal wear, the bearings must be inspected visually, and by feelWhile rotating bearings by hand, inspect for rough spots, discoloration, or corrosionThe bearings should turn smoothly and quietly, with no detectable up and down movement and minimal movement sideways between inner and outer race10Replace bearing if moisture, dirt, corrosion, or roughness is evidentBearing Installation 5Thoroughly clean the rear bearing carrier housing and the outer race on the new bearingBe sure that all oil residue has been removed from each surfaceSupport the bottom of the bearing carrier housingCAUTION
Use an arbor and press only on the outer race, otherwise bearing damage may occur7Apply Loctite RCTM 680 to the outer circumference of the new bearing race and carefully press the new bearing into the bearing carrier housingApply Loctite RCTM 680
