FINAL DRIVE REAR BEARING CARRIER
Bearing Carrier InspectionRemoval
1Elevate rear of vehicle and safely support machine under the frame area6Remove the rear wheel hub assembly
CAUTION
Serious injury may result if machine tips or fallsBe sure machine is secure before beginning this service procedureWear eye protection when removing bearings and seals2Check bearings for side play by grasping the top and bottom of the tire firmly and checking for movementThe tire should rotate smoothly without binding or rough spotsRemove the (4) wheel nuts and remove the rear wheelRemove the cotter pin and loosen the rear wheel hub castle nutRemove the nut, and (2) cone washers from the rear wheel hub assemblyRemove the bolts that attach the rear bearing carrier to the upper and lower A-arms
