ENGINE 29Remove the oil pressure reliefThe oil pressure relief consists of bolt, washer, spring, and valve (dowel)Inspect the valve (dowel) for signs of possible obstructionsUse compressed air to blow out any debris31Carefully press the gear off the assembly while supporting the housing assembly
Press Off Gear
CAUTION
30Reinstall the valve (dowel chamfered end first)Install the spring, washer, and boltTorque to specification 22 ftlbs(30 Nm)Wear appropriate safety gear during this procedureProtective gloves, clothing and eye wear are required32Remove the snap ring from the assemblyPlace the housing in support and press out the bearingshaft assemblyPress out shaft and bearing assembly
