Cooling System Specifications
Condition Thermostat Open Thermostat Full Open Lift Thermostat Closed System Capacity Pressure Cap Relief Specification 180 (82 C) mm at 203 (95 C) 171 (77 C) 4.8 Quarts (4.5 liters) 13 PSI 12Never remove pressure cap when engine is warm or hotThe cooling system is under pressure and serious burns may resultAllow the engine and cooling system to cool before servicingRemove pressure cap and test cap using commercially available pressure cap testerThe pressure cap relief pressure is 13 psiReplace cap if it does not meet this specification3The system must maintain 10 psi for five minutes or longerIf pressure loss is evident within five minutes, check the radiator, hoses, clamps and water pump seals for leakage
