FINAL DRIVE Bearing Removal
12Remove the inner snap ring retaining the bearingFrom the front side of the housing, tap on the outer bearing race with drift punch in the reliefs as shownSnap Ring Bearing Bearing Carrier
Bearing Carrier Installation
12345Grease the bushings and pivot tubes and slide them into place in the rear bearing carrierInsert drive shaft into the back side of the rear bearing carrierAlign bottom of rear bearing carrier and lower control armInstall and torque lower control arm bolt to specificationMove the upper control arm down towards the bearing carrier until it aligns with the top hole of the carrierInstall and torque upper control arm bolt to specification
Upper Control Arm Casting Reliefs 40 ftlbs(54 Nm)
NOTE: Drive bearing out evenly by tapping on outer race onlyOnce bearing is at bottom of casting, support casting on outer edges so bearing can be removed3Discard bearing once removedBearing Carrier
