12Remove retaining boltPull the clutch off the shaft using flywheel puller (2871043) as shown8Measure the free length of the compression springReplace spring if length is less than standard or if spring coils are distorted
= In mm34567Remove the puller and place the driven clutch spring side up in the clutch spring compressor (8700220)Install arm (PA-47457-1) on the spring compressorInstall adaptor (PA-47457-2) on the armRemove nut (counterclockwise) using standard socketCompress spring enough to remove the chain lock and slowly release spring tension9Driven Compression Spring Standard Length: Sportsman 300: 7.52" (19.10 cm) Sportsman 400 HO: 4.69" (11.91 cm) Carefully pry up the roller cover to remove itInspect cover for wear
