MAINTENANCE Front Gearcase Lubrication
NOTE: It is important to follow the front gearcase maintenance intervals described in the Periodic Maintenance ChartRegular fluid level inspections should be performed as wellFRONT GEARCASE SPECIFICATIONS 2Specified Lubricant: Premium Demand Drive Hub Fluid (PN 2871654) (Quart) (12 count) Capacity: Even with fill plug or oz(148 ml) Drain Plug and Fill Plug Torque: 8-10 ftlbs(11-14 Nm) The front gearcase lubricant level should be checked and changed in accordance with the maintenance schedule Be sure vehicle is positioned on level surface when checking or changing fluid Check vent hose to be sure it is routed properly and unobstructedFront Gearcase Fluid Level Check The fill plug is located on the right side of the front gearcaseMaintain the lubricant level even with the bottom threads of the fill plug hole12Position vehicle on level surfaceRemove the fill plug and check the fluid levelThe fluid level should be at the bottom of the fill plug threads78456Fill Plug
