MAINTENANCE Engine Oil Level (Sportsman 400 H.O
The oil tank is located on the left side of the vehicle in the front wheel well areaTo check the oil level: 1234Set machine on level surfacePlace the transmission in neutral and lock the parking brakeStart and run engine for 20-30 secondsThis will return oil to its true level in the oil tankStop engine and remove the dipstickWipe it dry with clean clothEngine Oil Dipstick

Personal injury can occur when handling used oilHot oil can cause burns or skin damage12345Place vehicle on level surfacePlace the transmission in neutral and lock the parking brakeStart engine and allow it to run for two to three minutes until the engine is warmStop engineClean area around drain plug (B) at bottom of oil tankPlace drain pan beneath oil tank and remove drain plugCAUTION: Oil may be hotDo not allow hot oil to come into contact with skin as serious burns may resultAllow engine oil to drain completelyReplace sealing washer (A) on drain plug
