MAINTENANCE 9Completely drain the engine oil16Install the new oil filterAfter the filter contacts the engine surface turn it an additional 12 turn by hand
17Remove the dipstick10Reinstall the drain plug with new sealing washerNOTE: The sealing surfaces on the drain plug and crankcase should be clean and free of burrs, nicks or scratches11Torque to 14 ftlbs(19 Nm)12Place towels under the oil filter13Using an oil filter wrench, turn the filter counter clockwise to remove it18Remove dipstick and fill crankcase with 1.7 qts(1.6 L) of the recommended engine oil
