MAINTENANCE GENERAL VEHICLE INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
Pre-rideDaily Inspection
Perform the following pre-ride inspection daily, and when servicing the vehicle at each scheduled maintenance Tirescheck condition and tire pressure Fuel and oilfill both to their proper level; do not overfill All brakescheck operation (includes auxiliary brake) Throttlecheck for free operation HeadlightTaillightBrakelightcheck operation of all indicator lights and switches Engine stop switch (key switch)check for proper function Wheelscheck for loose wheel nuts Air cleaner elementcheck for dirt or water; clean or replace Steeringcheck for free operation, noting any unusual looseness in any area Loose partsvisually inspect vehicle for any damaged or loose nuts, bolts or other fasteners Engine coolant (if applicable)check for proper level at the recovery bottle
