ELECTRICAL ETC Switch Adjustment
1Slide the boot off the throttle cable adjuster and jam nut
Key Switch
The key switch can be tested with an ohm meter
Set parking brakeStart engine and set idle to specified RPM
When the key switch is turned to the "ON" position, there should be continuity between the red (RD) and brown (BN) wiresThere should also be continuity between the black (BK) and dark green (DG) wiresWhen the key is turned to the "OFF" position, there should no continuity between any of the wiresKEY SWITCH CONTINUITY CHART Color Switch Position

NOTE: Be sure the engine is at operating temperatureSee "Idle Speed Adjustment" in Chapter 24Loosen the adjustment nut on inline cable adjuster
