ENGINETRANSMISSION Oil Pump Removal
NOTE: Oil pump is not serviceable assemblyNOTE: The CVT system, starter motor, starter drive, flywheel, stator, oil pump and transmission can be serviced with the engine in the frame12Remove statorRemove oil pump body screws (C)4Remove body screw and plateInspect gears and drive pins (D) on pump shaft for wear or damageReplace pump assembly if parts are worn, scratched or otherwise damagedIf parts pass inspection, clean and lubricate the pump parts with clean engine oilAssemble pump and tighten screw securelyTurn pump gear by hand to check for smooth operationReplace pump or re-clean parts if any roughness or binding is evident
