Removal
123456Place ATV on level surface and place transmission in PARK'Loosen both rear wheel nutsLoosen both rear center hub nutsLift and safely support rear of ATV so that the rear wheels are off the groundRemove the roll pin from the rear transmission yoke and pull vent line off the gearcaseRemove both rear wheels and center hub nuts
NOTE: Hub removal is not required to remove CV shafts7Remove both upper hub carrier boltsTilt hubs outward and remove both CV shaftsRemove the upper and lower bolts from the gearcase mountsPull gearcase out the rear of the vehicleSome prying and tapping with soft-face hammer may be requiredUse care not to damage other components
