ENGINE FlywheelStator Installation
NOTE: Before assembly, clean the bolts and bolt holes with Primer (PN 2870585) to remove any debrisThis will ensure proper sealing when installing bolts1Carefully install the stator and trigger coil to the gearstator housing coverDo not tap on the stator or the gear stator housing coverThis may cause leak in between the gearstator housing cover and the crankcaseProperly place the stator wires under the wire holddown and install the boltsInspect the bolts, if new bolts are needed, replace them with new boltsNew bolts contain patch lock, so LoctiteTM is not neededTorque bolts to specification5Inspect the mating surface around the gearstator housing cover and the crankcase for oil seepageIf there is seepage between the mating surfaces, then the gearstator housing cover must be resealedClean the gearcase surfaces and reseal with new gasketRefer to the Lower Engine Disassembly section and the Lower Engine Assembly section for detailslnspect the areas pointed out in the illustration for possible oil seepage6
