ENGINE Engine Crankcase DisassemblyInspection
1Remove the stator cover (A) and water pump cover (B)4Install Flywheel Puller (PN 2871043) and remove flywheel (F)CAUTION: Do not thread the puller bolts into the flywheel more than 14, or stator coils may be damagedF2Remove the nylok nut (C), washer (D), and water pump impeller (E)Remove part of the water pump seal behind the impeller5Remove the starter bendix (G), wire holddown plate (H), and the woodruff key (I) from the crankshaftThe stator does not have to be removed at this point
