FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY
NOTE: 800 EFI fuel connections are quickconnect couplings vs 700 EFI connectionsAn electric fuel pump assembly is used to transfer fuel to the EFI system from inside the fuel tankThis assembly includes the fuel pump, regulator and fuel gauge senderThe pump is rated for minimum output of 25 liters per hour at 39 psi and has nonserviceable internal 30micron filterIn addition, the pump has replaceable 10micron filter attached to the pump outlet, which is located under the strut mountFuel pump is not replaceablePicture is for reference only
FUEL PUMP TEST
The fuel pumptank assembly is nonserviceable and must be replaced if determined to be faultyIf fuel delivery problem is suspected, make certain the filters are not plugged, that the pump is being activated through the ECU, all electrical connections are properly secured, the fuses are good, and minimum of 7.0 volts is being suppliedIf during starting the battery voltage drops below 7.0 volts, reduction of fuel pressure may occur resulting in lean starting conditionIf required, testing of the fuel pump and circuitry may be conductedCAUTION: Check the fuel test valve for any possible fuel seepage after performing any tests or proceduresFuel is extremely flammable and may cause severe burns, injury, or deathDo not use any device that produces flame or electrical devices that may spark around fuel or fuel vapors700 EFI Shown
