7Assemble the crankcase halvesApply LocTitet 242 (PN 2871949)to the threads and pipe sealant to the bolt flangesTorque bolts to 22 ftlbs(30 Nm) following torque pattern on Page 3.11Crankcase Bolt Torque: 22 ftlbs(30 Nm) Torque in Proper Sequence (Pg311) 8Lubricate cam lobes and valve lifters with Moly Lube GreaseMolylube Cam Lobes
10Lubricate connecting rods with 0W40 engine oil
11Install new cylinder gasket on crankcaseAlign gasket on the dowel pins for proper gasket alignment
Molylube Lifters 9Lubricate lifters with engine oil and install in the original order as removed in disassemblyApply Lubriplate or Moly Lube to the ends of the liftersNOTE: Always replace the camshaft and lifters as setNOTE: Gasket must be installed dryDo not use sealers or lubricants to hold in place during installation12Orientate the piston rings on the piston before installation into the cylindersSet the gaps of the rings every 120 (see illustration)1 Piston Ring Orientation
