MAINTENANCE
FRONT GEARCASE LUBRICATION
The gearcase lubricant level should be checked and changed in accordance with the maintenance scheduleG Be sure vehicle is level before proceeding and in PARKG Check vent hose to be sure it is routed properly and unobstructedG The correct front gearcase lubricant to use is Polaris Premium Demand Hub FluidFRONT GEARCASE SPECIFICATIONS Specified Lubricant: Premium Demand Drive Hub Fluid (PN 2871654) Capacity: .5.0 Oz(150 ml Fill Plug Torque: 8-10 ft.lbs(11-14 Nm) Drain Plug Torque: 11 ftlbs(15 Nm)
To change gearcase lubricant:
11 ft.lbs (15 Nm)
1Remove gearcase drain plug (A) (11 mm) located on the bottom of the gearcase and drain oil(The drain plug is accessible through the skid plate Catch and discard used oil properly2Clean and reinstall drain plug (A) using new sealing washer Toque to 11 ft.lbs(15 Nm)
