TRANSMISSION 8Note the transmission gear position and mark the two shift gears before removing them to aid with reassemblyRemove the shift gears from the caseNOTE: You may have to tap the shift drum from the backside of the case to aid in removal
NOTE: Depending on what gear the transmission is in upon disassembly, the stamped timing marks may not be lined upTo avoid confusion, mark the two gears as described in Step 89Remove the bolts on the LH transmission case coverTap the cover off with soft face hammer if necessary
