FINAL DRIVE 4Remove the differential assembly (C) from the housingInspect the bevel gear teeth for chipped, worn, or broken teethC 6Remove the differential lock solenoid (F) from the carrier housing by turning the solenoid counterclockwiseF
Inspect the tip of the solenoid (F) for wearIf the tip of the solenoid is flat the solenoid may need to be replacedRemove the bearings from each side of the carrier assembly (C)Inspect the bearings (D) for smoothness and wearBe sure to keep the shims (E) together for reassemblyC
