1Elevate front end and safely support machine under footrestframe area5Remove hub cap, cotter pin, front spindle nut, and washer
CAUTION
Serious injury may result if machine tips or fallsBe sure machine is secure before beginning this service procedureWear eye protection when removing bearings and seals2Check bearings for side play by grasping the tirewheel firmly and checking for movementGrasp the top and bottom of the tireThe tire should rotate smoothly without binding or rough spots6Rotate each bearing by hand and check for smooth rotationVisually inspect bearing for moisture, dirt, or corrosionReplace bearing if moisture, dirt, corrosion, or roughness is evident
