Due to the critical nature of the procedures outlined in this chapter, Polaris recommends steering component repair and adjustment be performed by an authorized Polaris MSDcertified technician when replacing worn or damaged steering partsUse only genuine Polaris replacement partsOne of two methods can be used to measure toe alignmentThe string method and the chalk methodIf adjustment is required, refer to following pages for procedure123Place machine on smooth level surfaceSet steering wheel in straight ahead position and secure the steering wheel in this positionPlace chalk mark on the center line of the front tires approximately 10" (25.4 cm) from the floor or as close to the hubaxle center line as possible
