Front Gearcase Lubrication (4x4)
The gearcase lubricant level should be checked and changed in accordance with the maintenance schedule Be sure vehicle is level with parking brake on before proceeding Check vent hose to be sure it is routed properly and unobstructed The correct front gearcase lubricant to use is Polaris Premium Demand Hub Fluid
Fill Plug Threads Proper Fluid Level
Front Gearcase Specifications Specified Lubricant: Premium Demand Drive Hub Fluid (PN 2871654) Capacity: 5.0 oz(150 ml Fill Plug Torque: 8-30 ftlbs(11-41 Nm)
To change lubricant: 123Remove skid plate (if necessary)Place drain pan beneath the transmission oil drain plug areaRemove the drain plug and wipe the magnetic end clean to remove accumulated metallic filingsTRANSMISSION
