Condition: Starter fails to tum motorNOTEMake sure engine crankshaft is free to turn before proceeding with dynamic testing of starter systemA digital multitester must be used for this testWith the lester on the VDC pos ibon, place the tester's black lead on the battery negative and the red lead on the battery posrtive-
Remove battery and properly service Install tully charged shop battery to continue
Disconnect coil engagement wire worn the starter soleno idConnect tester black wire to battery ground, Conne:t red tester lead to hamess wire at solenoidTum on ignition switch and depress the starter buttonTester should read battery vottage
Chec voltage on both sides of breakerignition stop $wrtch and starter bullonThe voltage on both sides should be the sameNOTEThe ignition and engine stop Switch must be on and the starter button depressedRe place component iffailed
