ELECTRICAL Remove the battery from the 3Install battery in veh icle with positive term inal toward the frontCoat threads of battery bolt with corrosion resistant dielectric grease
machine and wash the case and
battery tray with mild solution of baking soda and waterRinse with lots of fresh water after clean ingNOTE: Do not get any of the baking soda into the battery or the acid will be neutralized Using wire brush or knife, remove any corrosion from the cables and terminals

4 Connect battery cab lesA WARNING
To avoid the possibility of explosion, connect positive (red) cable first and negative (black) cable last
Make sure that the electrolyte is at the proper levelAdd distilled water if necessaryCharge at rate no greater than 1 10 of the battery's amphr capacity until the electrolyte's specific gravity reaches 1.270 or greater

5After connecting the battery cables, install the cover on the battery and attach the hold down strap6Install clear battery vent tube from vehicle to battery ventWARNINGVent tube must be free from obstructions and kinks and securely installedIf not, battery gases could accumulate and cause an explosionVent should be rooted away from frame and body to prevent contact wrth electrolyteAvo id skin contact with electrolyte, as severe burns could resultIf electrolyte contacts the vehicle frame, corrosion will occur
