shiftdrumBe sure the wave springs are properly in place and that the shift rail is seated into the pocket on the backside of the case20Install the helical gear and bearing onto the pinion

shaft21Clean the mating surlaces of the case and coverApply Crankcase Sealant (PN 2871557) to the
mating surfacesBesure the locating pins {knock pipes) are in placeReinstall cover, LH mounting bracket and torque bolts in acriss-cross pattern in steps to 27- 34 ftIbs(36.5046 Nm)
