Gearcase Coil Resistance
NOTE: To test the gearcase coils res istance, use the coil harnessThe gearcase coils should measure between 22.8 ohms and 25.2 ohmsRemove output shaft assembly
7Inspect the ring gear (e) for consistent wear patternsThe surfaces should be free of nicks and scratches8Inspect roll cage (8) sliding surtaceThis surtace must be clean and free of nicks, burrs or scratchesRemove and inspect the H-springs
NOTE: Be careful not to misplace the thrust bearing located between the two output shaftsClean all parts and inspect spacers for wearInspect ring gear for chipped, broken, or missing
