_ PVT ASSEMBLYINSPECTION
1Inspect PVT inner cover-la-engine sealReplace if cracked or damagedAlign the alignment mark
on the cove with the mark on the engine sealInstall clutch offset spacer(s} on transmission input shaft2Place new sea! on transmission input shaft3Apply RTV silicone sealant to outside edge of
inner cover-Io-engine seal, to ensure watertight fit between the seal and the cover on engine side
Clean splines inside driven clutch and on the transmiss ion input shaft
Surfaces must De clean to ensure adhesion of
silicone sealant4ReinstaJl cover and tighten rear cover bolls just enough to hold it in placeF it lip of inner cover seal (A) to engineInstall seal
Apply light film of grease to the splines on the shaft10Install the driven clutch, washer, lock washer, and retain ing boltTorque to specification11Clean end of taper on crankshaft and the taper bore inside drive clutch
