FUEL SYSTEMCARBURETION
FUEL LEVEL
A wallevel test can be performed on some models if
the drain hose fitting is accessibleBe sure to re-attach the bowl drain hose after performing the testA luel level test allows you to observe the height of the fuel in the float bow1 without removing the carburetorThe fuel level can be observed with the engine either running or shut off, however, engine must run briefty to allow fuel level to stabilize
IAttach clear line to drain fittingBe sure line fits

If fuel is present in the impulse line or vacuum chamber of the pump, the diaphragm is rupturedThe pump diaphragms must be replaced
tightly on fittingPosition hose along side of carburetor as shown

Remove the screws from the pump diaphragm coverNote the location of the two longer screws2Remove the diaphragm cover gasket, diaphragm, and valve body gasket1Open
