apply heat to the piston ringsThe ring may lose radial tension3Remove top compression ring: Compression Rmgs b) Remove the expander
Using piston ring pliers: Carefully expand ring
and lift it off the pistonCAUTION: Donot expand the
ring more than the amount necessary to remove it
from the piston, or the ring may break
By handPlacing both thumbs as shown, spread the ring open and push up on the opposite sideDo nol scratch the ring lands
