keep them in order for reassembly5If the push rod (A) is vis ibly bent, it should be replacedInspectthewear pad atthevatve end of the rocker arm for indications of scuffing or abnormal wearIf the pad is grooved, replace the rocker arm
CYLINDER HEAD REMOVAL
12Loosen the six cylinder head bolts evenly 18 urn each in criss-cross pattern until looseRemove bolts (A) and tap cylinder head (6) lightly with soft face hammer until looseCAUTION: Tap only in re inforced areas or on thick parts of cylinder head casting to avoid damaging the head or cylinderRemove cylinder head (6) and head gasket {C} from the cylinder (D)
NOTE: Do not attempt to tru thi surface by grinding3Check the rocker arm pad and fulcrum seat for excessive wear, cracKs, nicks or burrsPUSH ROD INSPECTION
