ENGINE INSTALLATION NOTES
After the engine is installed in the frame, review this checklist and perform all steps that apply: Engine Break In Period The break in period for Polaris ATV engine is defined as the first ten hours of operation, or the time it takes to use two ful tanks of gasolineNo single action on your part is as important as proper break in periodCareful treatment of new engine wil result in more efficient performance and tonger tife for the enginePerform the following procedures carefully
General Items
Install previously removed components using new gasketsseals, and fasteners where
applicablePertorm regular checks on fluid levels, contro ls, and all important areas on the vehicle as outlined in the daily pre-ride inspection checklist (refer to Chapter or the Owner 's Manual)Adjust center distance of drive and driven clutch(Chapter 6)
CAUTION
Use only Polaris Premium 0-40W AJI Season synthetic oil or equivalentNever substitute or mix oil brandsSerious engine damage and voiding of warranty can resuitDo not operate at full throttle or high speeds for extended periods during the first three hours of useExcessive heat can build up and cause damage to close jitted engine parts
