To remove the battery:
12Disconnect holder strap and remove coverDisconnect battery negative {-I (black) cable first, followed by the positive (+) (red) cable5Measure gap with wire gaugeRefer to specifications for proper spark plug type and gapAdjust gap if necessary by bending the side electrode carefu lly(Illustration below)

&CAUTION
To reduce the chance sparks: Whenever remo ving the battery, disconnect the negative (black) cable firstWhen rein stalling the battery,
If necessary, replace spark plug with proper typeCAUTIONSevere engine damage may occur if
the incorrect spark plug is used
7Apply small amount of anti-seize compound to
the spark plug threads
install the negative cable last345
8Install spark plug and torque to specificationRecommended Spark Plug: Refer to Specifications Chapter 1
