MAINTENANCE
LIQUID COOLING SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The engine coolant level is controlled or maintained by the recovery systemThe recovery system components are the recovery bottle, radiator filler neck, radiator pressure cap and connecting hoseAs coolant operating temperature increases, the expanding(heated)excesscoolantisforcedoutofthe radiator past the pressure cap and into the recovery bottleAsenginecoolant temperature decreasesthe contracting(cooled)coolantisdrawnbackupfromthe tank past the pressure cap and into the radiatorG Some coolant level drop on new machines is normal as the system is purgingitself of trappedairObserve coolant levels often during the break-in periodOverheating of engine could occur if air is not fully purged from systemPolarisPremium6040antifreezeis premixed and ready to useDo not dilute with water
COOLING SYSTEM HOSES
Inspect all hoses for cracks, deterioration, abrasion or leaksReplace if necessary

1Check tightness of all hose clamps2Do not over-tighten hose clamps at radiator or radiator fitting may distort, causing restriction or leakRadiator hose clamp torque is 36 inlbs(4 Nm)
