FRONT STRUT CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT
REFER TO ILLUSTRATION ON PAGES 5.91Hold strut rod and remove top nut2Compress spring using strut spring compressor tools
BALL JOINT REPLACEMENT
REFER TO ILLUSTRATION ON PAGES 5.91Loosen front wheel nuts slightly2Elevate and safely support machine under footrestframe areaCAUTION: Serious injury may result if machine tips or fallsBe sure machine is secure before beginning this service procedure3Remove wheel nuts and wheels4Remove cotter pin (A) from ball joint castle nut
Strut Spring Compressor Tools (PN 2871573) and (PN 2871574)
Remove upper strut pivot assemblyRemove coil spring and collapse strut cartridgeRemove two pinch bolts from strut castingRemove strut cartridgeInstall cartridge until bottomed in strut castingInstall pinch bolts with wire clamp(s)Torque pinch bolts to 15 ftlbs(21 Nm)9Reassemble spring and top pivot assemblyBe sure all parts are installed properly and seated fully10Torque strut rod nut to specificationDo not over torque nut
