TRANSMISSION GEARSHIFT LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT INSPECTION
Linkage rod will rotate 18 -14 turn if rod ends are tightened properly
SHIFT LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT
1Inspect shift linkage tie rod ends, clevis and pivot bushings and replace if worn or damaged2Place gear selector in neutral3Loosen rod end adjuster jam nuts (A) on both ends of linkage rodNOTE: The jam nut closest to the knurled end is Left Hand thread

Incorrectly Tightened Jam Nut
