MAINTENANCE
TRANSMISSION LUBRICATION
The transmission lubricant level should be checked and changed in accordance with the maintenance scheduleG Be sure vehicle is level before proceedingCheck vent hose to be sure it is routed properly and unobstructedFollow instructions on following pages to checkchange transmission lubricantTRANSMISSION SPECIFICATIONS Specified Lubricant: Polaris Premium Synthetic Gearcase Lubricant (PN 2871477) (Gallon) (PN 2871478) (12 oz Capacity: 11.3 oz(335 ml)
TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGETORQUE STOP ADJUSTMENT
1Remove skid plate (if necessary)2Place drain pan beneath the transmission oil drain plug area3Loosen jam nut (A)4Turn adjuster bolt (B) in to allow the removal of drain plug5Remove the drain plug and wipe the magnetic end clean to remove accumulated metallic filings6After the oil has drained completely, install new sealing washer and install the drain plugTorque to 14 ftlbs(19.3 Nm)7Turn adjuster bolt (B) out until it touches the frame, and then an additional 12 turnPVT Cover
