FAN MOTOR CURRENT DRAW
A current draw test will provide good indication of fan motor conditionA worn or damaged fan motor will draw more current, which causes reduction in blade speed and reduced cooling1Disconnect the RedWhite wire from the fan motor2Connect DC ammeter in series between the battery and fan motor as shown at rightUse the RedWhite wire in the wiring harness as the power supply3Be sure fan blade is free to rotate4Turn ignition key and engine stop switch to "ON" positionRead the current draw on ammeter with fan running5If the fan motor draws more than 6.5 Amps, replace the motorFan Motor Current Draw: Less Than 6.5 Amps RW
