ALTERNATOR OUTPUT TEST (AC AMP)
This test measures AC amperage from the alternator&Maximum alternator output will be indicated on the meterIt is not necessary to increase engine RPM above idle&Place the red lead on the tester in the 10A jack&Turn the selector dial to the AC amps (A#) position&Connect the meter leads to the Yellow and YellowRed wires leading from the alternator&Start the engine and let it idleReading should be minimum of 7A at idleCAUTION: This test simulates "full load" on the alternatorDo not perform this test longer than required to obtain reading or the alternator stator windings may overheat35 seconds is acceptableTo Calculate Available Alternator Output Alternator Current Output: Minimum of AC Amps= 200W 12V 250W 12V
