The battery will continually discharge if operated below the "Break Even" RPMContinued problems would warrant battery inspection, checking for owner modification, and discussion with the owner concerning their driving habits
Disconnect the YellowRed, Yellow, and Yellow Brn (if applicable) wires from the regulatorrectifierUsing multitester, measure the resistance between the wires from the statorCompare to test specifications on page 8.2Measure the resistance between all wires and the engine crankcaseThis reading should indicate an open circuit (no continuity)If measured resistance is within specifications, perform an alternator output (AC amp) testSee test procedure inset on this page for procedureAre the readings and output within specification?
