12Remove carburetor float bowlPlace the carburetor on level surface in the position shownIn this position, the float tongue will lightly contact the inlet needle valve pin without compressing the pin springMeasure the height from the float bowl mating surface on both sides of the float as shownThe floats should be parallel to each otherThe measurement should be made at the end of the float arm just before the step (upper most paint) using vernier caliperWhen measuring the height be sure the inlet needle valve spring is not compressed
