ENGINES Magnum Engine Assembly Cam Chain Tensioner Installation
1Release the ratchet pawl and push the tensioner plunger all the way into the tensioner body2Install the tensioner body with new gasket and tighten the bolts
3Install the spring, new sealing washer, and tensioner plug
4Slowly rotate engine two to three revolutions and re-check cam timingNOTE: Plated links will not align after engine is rotatedCheck crankshaft position by aligning dot on sprocket with crankcase projection (or TOC mark if flywheel is installed)Use cam sprocket locating pin (see Timing Method 2) to check camshaft position
