ENGINES Magnum Engine Installation Engine Installation 1Install engine from left side of frame, placing slotted rear engine plate in position with washer and nut on top Of plate2Attach water pump inlet hose and tighten clamp3With engine in place on rear mount and inlet hose connected, tip top of engine to the left and rotate counterclockwise to engage lower left engine mount in frame4Continue rotating engine making sure the hose clamp for the water pump inlet hose clears the frame at lower right side of engine near water pump5Install upper engine mount bracket to engine and line up all reference marks6Align engine by temporarily installing clutches and following alignmentoffset procedure outlined in the pvr Chapter7When engine is aligned properly, tighten all engine mounts and install all parts, reversing the order Of disassemblySee engine installation notes
Engine Installation Notes Oil Supply
1Before installing oil supply line, add Polaris Premium OW40 oil to the oil tank until oil flows from feed line2Connect the lines to the pump inlet and outlet fitting and tighten securelyBe sure oil feed line is properly connected to the uppermost oil line fitting on the crankcaseAdd oil until it is at the upper mark on dipstick
