ENGINES Magnum Engine Removal RecoilStator Removal
NOTE: Removal of the recoil flywheel and stator assembly will allow additional clearance for engine removal
Recoil housing bolts and housingStarter drive assemblyNote the thrust washer located at the rear of the drive mechanismFlywheel nut and washerInstall flywheel puller and remove flywheelCAUTION: Do not thread the puller bolts into the flywheel more than 14" (.63 cm) or stator coils may be damaged
23Mark or note position of stator plate on crankcaseRemove bolts and carefully remove stator assembly, being careful not to damage the crankshaft bushing or oil seal on the stator plateWrap stator in shop towel and secure stator out of the way on top of frame
