ENGINES Stroke Engine Maintenance Throttle Cable Adjustment, Cont4Tighten locknut and slide boot back over adjuster5Reinstall fuel tank6Check for proper throttle operation and correct freeplay in all handlebar positions
Throttle Operation Check for smooth throttle opening and closing in all handlebar positionsThrottle lever operation should be smooth and lever must return freely without bindingReplace the throttle cable if worn, kinked, or damagedThrottle Cable Lubrication Lubricate throttle cable from the throttle block end123456789101112Turn engine offRemove three throttle block cover screwsSlide boot off throttle cable adjuster and jam nutLoosen cable adjuster jam nutTurn adjuster in to obtain maximum cable freeplayOpen throttle and hold cableCarefully disconnect throttle cable from throttle leverDo not kink or bend throttle cableUnscrew adjuster and remove cableHold throttle cable up and lubricate with Polaris Cable Lube (PN 2870510)Turn adjuster in to obtain maximum cable freeplayReinstall cable onto throttle leverPerform throttle cable adjustment
